在ニューヨーク日本領事とのお茶会 / Tea with the Consul
6月4日（木）に春の出張領事サービスが行われ、翌日5日（金）の午前10時より、Sheridan DriveにあるWegmansのカフェにて、在ニューヨーク日本国総領事館の松永直樹領事への質問を兼ねたお茶会が催されました。
参加者は日本人会実行委員4名で、ジョー・ケスラー名誉領事ご夫妻も同席され、たいへん和やかで有意義なひとときとなりました。
話題の主な内容は、先日行われたアンケートの質問の一部「日本領事館からどのような情報が欲しいですか。または、領事出張サービスでいらっしゃる領事さんへの質問や要望などありますか」に対して松永領事が丁寧な回答を用意してくださっていましたので、その情報について共有していただきました。

松永領事からは、今後も年に２回（春６月・秋10月）の出張領事サービスを続けていきたい意向と、以前あった「領事との懇親会」を復活させて、バッファロー日本人会の方の力になりたい、というお言葉をいただきました。

Following the spring consular service on June 4, JGB committee members met with Consul Naoki Matsunaga of the Consulate General of Japan in New York over coffee at Wegmans. Honorary Consul Joseph Koessler and his wife were also in attendance.
For Japanese nationals living in the Buffalo area, consular services play an important role in everyday life — from passport renewals to legal documentation. This informal gathering gave us a chance to bring member questions directly to the consul and hear about upcoming services.
